I took the dogs to the lake yesterday. My dogs can swim they just really enjoy it. I wish they would run and jump and act like they are having fun. After Guiness's swims he has to dry off in the sand.
And then look like this.
Miley doesnt dry off in the sand. I couldnt find her after swimming and we are on a little island. Finally I find her in the boat drying off on the seats. LOL. Its quit a jump from the ground to the deck of the boat.
I thought this looked cool. The sand and the mud in the water.

My dogs don't enjoy swimming easier. My friend mentioned that maybe most shelties don't like swimming because they have to drag around that heavy coat?

Gosh that looks like such a beautiful place. That is so funny with Guiness rolling in the sand while he is wet, LOL. I dont know any shelties that like to run and jump in the water, mine like swimming once they are in the water but they would never run and jump into it, LOL. Maybe shelties know it means a lot of grooming after they are swimming and so that is why they are not the first ones in????

Whisper does exactly what Guiness does rolling in the sand - but she doesn't swim. She loves the water and wades and bites waves and splashes - no swimming though.
