Poor Miley's brain exploded

Here is Miley's brain:

(over all good run. Jumps both contacts and popped out of weaves but she was under control and listening. She did get on the table with a 2nd send. She was highly rewarded)

Here is Miley's brain on drugs:

(I left the ring. When I walked away, she immediately stopped circling and just stopped and watched me, then came trotting up to me)

whooo hooo Miley got on the table and you did such a beautiful job in the first run of getting her back when she was winding up. The contacts in that looked terrific, you guys really looked like you were working well together. I love how Miley was so suprised and just stopped the circling, I bet she did not expect you to leave her there. WHOOO HOOO it is really getting there. I could not see on the Aframe how many times she hit on the way down, it looked good though...I am so glad you had time to post tonight, I kept checking facebook and your blog to see how it went, LOL. I love your new profile picture of you and Miley on facebook by the way.

ps, on the first aframe did you do a quick release or did Miley just take off? I could not tell, but it looked like she hit that 2020...

good for you, I think I would have done the same thing....
I tried to leave the ring during a rally trial as Kort wouldn't stop barking or work for me, but the judge insisted I continue:(

I'm glad that she hopped on the table at the second send - you showed a lot of foresight in not making her hold the 5 seconds and just giving her instant praise. That was a very good move, and I'm not sure many people would've had the smarts to do that.

Also, it's good that she had exposure to the rubber contacts. She held the teeter beautifully, and the first time I introduced Layla to the rubberized contacts, the teeter was the biggest issue. Maybe because she had to pause on it and had more time to notice the texture change? Not sure.

Hope her brain heals nicely!

The first run was wonderful. I like your caption that Miley's brain is on drugs. Wonder what happened to it? You'd better check there's no drugs in her treats!

Yay - Miley did do the table! Beautiful down and then you quickly released her - brilliant! Also it was awesome to see her circle a little and then come back to you and listen again. Seems like that is HUGE progress! You did really well the entire time - calm, cool, great presence of mind - and it made a big impact on Miley when you calmly walked out of the ring during the second run. Good job!!

That looks like a very nice venue! Good luck today!! Can't wait to hear about it!

You are such a calm, smooth handler- I love watching you :) You guys are a phenomenal team, until silly girl starts having her brain explode! I'm sure she'll outgrow that, but you handled it very well in the second run by walking off- maybe she'll realize that she can't have any fun if she gets the zoomies on course :) Yay for the table though, that must make you happy!

I think leaving the ring is th eway to go when she gets stuck in circling mode. It will help her figure out it is a team sport and it's no fun if you leave! Good for you.

wow, walking out of the ring was VERY effective. That was great to see.

Hoping you have a good day today!

Good job for rewarding the table immediately (and not asking for duration) and for leaving the ring when she started circling. I have left the ring several times with Summit when he was beyond the point he couldn't think anymore.

Miley is SO young. She will settle down as she matures. I've noticed a big change in Summit's ability to handle the stress of competition now that he just turned 4 years old.

I'm exhausted just watching YOU run! It's so hard to keep up with her, she's so fast. Walking out was brilliant, she was like...OH WAIT! Mom left me! OK, I CAN be a calm dog, see? See?
