Sunday Summary

Well the trial is all done.  Everything  went very well, at least I think it did. No major problems , so thats always a positive.   We still didnt get any "Q"s , LOL.  So what is the positive.  She was really listening to me so I pulled her off jumps.

Open standard was first.  Again, Ann was watching to see if she noticed anything.  And Miley got right  on the table , no problem.   Well I hope the positive table vibes continue.  The last few times  she has come out of a chute, Ive sent her off course. I really wanted to stay on course because it was chute , jump , table. I cued to early and pulled her off the jump. Ugh!

Who know why Miley decided to get on the table.  I have anther trial this coming weekend. I only entered standard once, will see if she gets on. Keep your fingers crossed.

Next up was Exc. JWW.  I thought I had a pretty good chance on this one. But after watching people run, I knew it was going to be tough.
The off course tunnel entrance after #6 doesnt look that close on the course map but it sure seemed closed when you walked it.  I really wanted to keep her out of that wrong tunnel entrance , well I did alright and pulled her right off jump #6.  LOL  Then I tried to do a lateral send to jump #9, and pulled her off that too.  And I dont know what happened at jump #14. She pulled to the side and I figured she was just going to miss it and it didnt really matter at this point. I dont know how she did it, but she pulled in and got the jump. I probably shut my eyes for a second, thinking she was going to crash the wing, but she didnt.   It really was a crazy run.

I have a few more trial chair duties to do. Like count worker coupons so I know how many were used to eat, how many I have left over and then we know how much can come back for money off their runs for next time.  I have to put the judges fees , like how many runs times how much money they charge, hotel fees , food and rental cars.  And I still have to put the judges stuff in for the Fall trial with the AKC.   Oh, yea and I have to send in the report to the AKC for this trial. Then Im done. LOL

Close, but no "Q"s

We did much better today.  Excellent JWW was first.  I saw the course map and thought, "hey, I think I can run this one". LOL  We stayed on course but dropped a bar on the triple.

Next up was Open Standard.  Ann was there to watch again.  Miley missed the a-frame contact but since it was right before the table, I decided that wasnt a good place to mark that.  She got on the table.  Wait, let me say that again. She got ON the table. Whoohoo.  My friend said we just need to make a cardboard cut out of Ann and put it ring side so Miley will get on the table. LOL

Then the long wait for FAST.   I really thought we had "q"ed on this run.  I didnt know if you take one obstacle in the bonus in the correct direction that that is considered attempting the bonus and you cant get it. Ugh!  Still a nice run.  I really didnt want her to take that jump after the last tunnel because it was so off set but she did and knocked the whole jump over.

Long Day.

Wow, what a long day!!  Im beat and my body is killing me.  Is my dog tired? NO.  We did 5 runs and when we she came in the house, she brought me her ball to throw.  Crazy dog.   I got to the trial at 6:30am.  Everything went pretty well.  Our first run was Exc. Jww.  It didnt go to well. Everything I worry about , never seems to be the problem. Then the things I take for granted, she misses.  LOL.  I think Ive decided that I need to go train with someone for a week this summer. Every day for a private lesson to teach me how to handle my dog. Because I just cant seem to do it.  What the heck is wrong with me.

It was going to be hard to get that turn over the double (7) to the weaves. But she did it, to bad she missed the weave poles. I had to bring her back.  Then for some reason she crashed jump 13.  I dont know if I did something that caused it. I was front crossing here to try and not get the wrong tunnel entrance but I got it anyway.

Next up was standard.  I was in both rings at the same time which drives me crazy but that just how it is.  Ann Braue is out our trial and I had sent her an email asking her to watch Miley's table and see if she can see if its something Im doing.  My standard run wasnt very good either.  She didnt get on the a-frame, so for the rest of the day, I kept thinking is she hurt. She always gets on the a-frame. She got on it with no problem in Fast. So I dont know why she missed it here. I guess she did get on it when I was trying to bring her around, she got on the wrong way, so then I had to put her in the back side of the tunnel.

So I told Ann, I just needed her here to watch  and that go Miley on the table.

It was a long wait until Fast. She was flying but we got the wrong tunnel entrance on the distance part. I signed up for the a-match that was at the end of the trial.  Man, that judge made the courses really hard. What the heck?  The excellent JWW, Ive never heard so many people complain.  I think it was also late, we were all tired.  Several people didnt run it they way it was numbered.   But I figured what the heck.  Of course we got thur the hard part, the beginning. Then I messed up the easier parts.  I was trying to make a front crossed and pushed off a jump. I dont know why I thought that was the thing to do. I cant find my course map, so here is one I made. Not sure its correct.

Then it was the long wait until standard. I think I finally ran at 7pm at night. My legs were killing me.  She  jumped on the table , off the table, stressed circled. I told her to "come front" and she did. I told her table. She got on , I waited the table count and ran out of the ring. Crap.
