What is it?

Im in Savannah visiting my parents. A storm has just finished blowing through. Here are some after pictures.

This animal lives in my parents yard. Its free to come and go but he or she has been there for the last year. When you first see it, it looks like a bunny. It apparently lost its tail some how.

After the rain it began to rub itself all over the tree bark just like a dog after he has been washed. It just cracked me up.

Love the sky in all the post-storm pictures. Hmmm...animal looks like a squirrel that had some bad luck. I've seen squirrels that lost their tail fur and they really look like other creatures since that bushy tail is such a trademark feature. But I'm no rodent expert (thankfully)! The picture of him/her rubbing against the tree made me laugh..very cute!

I like Savannah and the marshes - so pretty! Poor tail-less squirrel but at least he seems to be doing ok.

Hope you're having a great time with your parents!

Wow, a squirrel without a tail? That's something I've never seen before!

Poor little squirrel! I can't say that I've ever seen a squirrel rubbing all over a tree like that-too funny :) We have some squirrels with half a tail, but I've never seen one with their full tail missing. Guess he has nothing to flick when he's irritated lol.

Beautiful pictures, I really need to go visit that area someday, it's so pretty!

Now there's a squirel with a story!

Doesn't seem to effect his ability to balance.
