GCOC trial Sunday

I have to finish this up because Im going to a USDAA trial tomorrow. Im just doing one day.  I entered Java in easy stuff, pair, gamblers and standard. Miley is in  starters standard (fingers crossed she gets her final Q, so her and Java arent in the same class), Master gamblers, Grand Prix and Speedjumping.

But Sunday I was exhausted. I shouldnt have entered my dogs.  A friend of mine offered to run Java but she wouldnt have anything to do with him.  So I ran them both.

I have no idea what happened in Miley run. I cant remember and I couldnt find anyone to video.  I think we dropped a bar. Now I remember (I came back to this. lol).  She dropped a bar on #4. It was cute, when we came back thur that jump again for the #10, she jumped in the air, like the bar was there even thought it was on the ground a little further out.  People laughed.

Java had weave pole problems. I thought I had fixed this but I guess I have more work to do.

Masters jumpers

Miley went wide around the number 7 jump and then stressed.  And things started to fall apart.

I think Miley's brain was just over all this. I probably wont run her three days again.

Open JWW

For some reason Java just isnt as committed to jumps as she is in practice. So I pulled her off #4. The she was off course twice into the tunnel. Ugh.

Master standard

I helped set this course up. When I set the panel jump, a bar goes across the bottom 4inch rung and then you start setting the panels  on up. Well this lady changed it. She is a judge but wasnt a judge for our trial. I told her I thought it was right, but she ignored me.  So the panel jump dropped on the guy who ran before me, and it dropped on Miley. I watched a few more runs and the panel jump dropped not every time but more than it should. Ugh. I was kinda pissed.  We had a perfect run except for that.
I didnt get Miley's run on video.

Last up Novice Standard.

When I saw this course I thought, crap its harder than excellent.  That freaking broad jump to the dw and then turning to the jumps. Ugh. I didnt think I could do it.  I couldnt front cross between the broad jump and the DW (which is what most people did) but then I would be so far behind on the running dw I thought that wasnt the best plan. So I posted turned and then rear crossed on the flat after the dogwalk. She almost went to the tire because I was on that side but she got it in the end. Then I rear crossed the teeter because I needed to get to the outside tunnel exit to front cross and pull her over the a-frame. The tunnel exit  seem to go more pass the a-frame so the dog would miss it.
Anyway , when I rear crossed the teeter, she jumped off. Oops we hadnt practiced that.  You wouldnt believe how many people came up to me and asked my why I did that.  Ok, I need to know where my training holes are. No sense moving on if she doesnt know things. It isnt a big deal.

GCOC trial, Saturday.

Im having a hard time remembering what happened. LOL  It feels like forever ago. I didnt enter FAST, it was first of the day.  I timed for the excellent dogs, no one Qed.
I dont have a map but I drew this from memory.

That 1-3 was the send bonus.  One dog that got the send, did what I posted. But they didnt have enough points to Q. The judge came over to us one time and said, Ive used the set up before and people got it.  Poor guy.

(sorry the maps are dirty. Miley jumped into the back of my van and stepped on all of them from Saturday)

Open JWW:

I ran this with Java.  I think  I had to support #2 so much that I didnt get out to get my front cross when I wanted. So she went by #4. Ugh. But once I get it together at 4, we looked good.

This run was kinda disappointing because I felt like I should have been about to do it. Sorry the video is so dark.  Its hard under cover with the light at the end. I think by the last day we got if figured out. Stand on top of the bleachers and face the ipad down.

Master JWW:

I guess I didnt get anyone to tape this one. I think if I remember right,  I didnt want to leave her coming out of the tunnel (after 4) to make sure she took #5. It was at a weird angle.  So I couldnt give her the information she needed soon enough and I think she missed #7. I did a fake front cross and the reared on the flat into the weaves.  I also think she missed #19. I slowed(almost to a stop) to rear cross #18, then she went wide around 19. I should have just fronted on the other side of 18. I had time. Ugh. Not a good run on my part.

Masters Standard:

Miley had a freaking awesome run except she landed on the triple. I have no idea why. The judge is standing in the way so you cant see it.  Someone told me she slipped on take off.  I didnt see that and I was right there. I knew she wasnt going to clear it even with me say "big jump".  She has been crashing the triple a lot.  The photographer got a picture of her trying to make the jump. Back legs all the way forward and then front legs flailing. Poor Miley, so was trying to hard to make it. Ugh. Not good.

I called the table, "weave". Im not sure why but she got on the table. I called the a-frame something else. I think I needed to eat some lunch, my brain wasnt working. LOL  I front crossed in front of the chute because so many dogs missed that jump after the chute.

Novice Standard:

When I saw that run: Long tunnel, dogwalk, table, I thought holy crap.  But it wasnt a problem at all. But the table was. LOL.  I tried to leave her and I guess she wasnt ready for that. And what did I do, walked away again.

Last up T2B:  I entered both dogs.

Miley went wide and then stressed but I got her back. And since no refusals in T2B, we Qed. LOL

Java popped out of the weaves early and over the next jump before I could fix it.

I was beat after this run.

GCOC trial , Friday

We had our clubs trial this weekend.  I think I have to cut back  on what I enter my dogs in, its just to much for me to run two dogs and do all the other stuff too.
First up was FAST.   I cant remember who I ran first, Java or Miley. Both runs were pretty close together. I dont have any video because it was very cold in the morning and my husband couldnt get the ipad video to turn on when pressing the button.  (Last week we were freezing and now we are sweating, Ugh!)

I cant remember what we did but Java Qed with 67 points.

Miley didnt get the bonus , she missed number 2. But she had awesome contacts.

Open JWW, the judge made the course easy to help up  the  Q rate , since everyone is always stuck in open so long. I guess it worked because we did Q.  After number 6 Java was sure she was suppose to go to the tunnel. It never even crossed my mind that the tunnel would be in play there. LOL  I called her off and she turned and landed on her shoulder. I felt bad about that.

Miley's jww run. I slipped front crossing after 4 and I think this caused Miley to drop the bar , since it happened at the same time. Ugh! (it happens in a split second so its hard to see)  Then she missed the weave pole entry. I think I didnt show any deceleration so she didnt load in. She wanted to stress but I got her head and into the poles.  Also to get the correct tunnel entrance for #17 I layered 18 to get the pull into the tunnel. Im probably the only person who had to do that. (I had to do it with Java too) I didnt walk it that way but when running I felt like I needed it.

Novice standard.
I dont have video but this was a great run. Until I said " Yay, good girl" just before she took the last jump and caused her to drop the last bar. LOL. Java got all her dogwalk contacts all weekend.  Yay, Java!!

Master Standard.

Again no video.  Great run but she again missed the weave pole entry.  But she came right back and got it. Beautiful contacts!! And she got right on the table!!

I ran the b-match that we put on at the end of the day.  I ran Miley in the second run thrus.  We practice weave pole entry's and she finally started getting them.
