Tunnel/ a-frame problem

At the last couple of trials when the tunnel has been under the a-frame we have gotten a refusal. After she did go in, she comes out  going to the wrong side.  Here are the steps I did trying to increase her understanding of RC into the tunnel. (sorry the music doesnt end with the video)

Good job of working on the problem - looks like Miley was reading the RC very well at the end!

Cool video editing!

I'm jealous that you were out there training in your backyard! But I am happy for you! :)

What a perfect song for that video!

Thanks for showing your process. It was really interesting to see the progression. It's always fun to watch you guys train.

I think you did very well with the RC into the tunnel with Miley; I struggled with all mine! I have tried RC earlier, so they can see me moving but it didn't actually help them much, so I have to take other option and tried not to RC into tunnel at trail. Well done!

Way to go working through that whole thing so she understands ;-)

this might be a dumb question, but...are you making sure to say her name as she is in the tunnel so she knows which way to turn before she exits?

Yea, I been calling her name when I think she about 1/2 way thur. It didnt change anything.

One collie that's exactly what I was going to ask ..
I watched it a number of times and she really missed the rear cross aspect when it was under the tunnel - she knew where you were when she left you and turned for each time ..
have you seen what she does when you put her in with a fc (or no cross) does she know the "rule" to curl back that way if there is no other info given?

I would call her earlier too then .. if you call once she's committed to the tunnel she's probably at the half way point then .. you may be calling too late for her to do anything about it ..

great video - both of your confidence really grew through the work out :)
