Its come to this.

Since I have nothing dog exciting to post,Ive been forced into bird watching. This woodpecker was in my backyard. Then the video is just the noise of an owl. Ive been trying to get his picture but I never have my nice camera when I see him.

Very cool! I love the quality of the pictures your camera takes.

My dad and his girlfriend have a ton of birdfeeders in their yard for the birds. They like to watch them too. If you're interested in keeping the woodpecker around, it seems like their favorite is Woodpecker Suet. They have it at Walmart, but a better one is at Home Depot. They freak out for it, it's like catnip for them or something.

What great woodpecker pictures! They're such beautiful birds. One of these days, I'll become a real birder. It's a great retreat from the life with dogs =)

Well, birding is fun - we used to do it all the time!

Ok, I finally looked up your woodpecker - it is a yellow-bellied sapsucker.

And the owl is a Barred Owl (you probably already knew that though).

Pretty cool stuff!

Woodpeckers are so cool! I get very excited whenever I see one. Great shots, all the ones I've got of woodpeckers are blurry.

I didn't know that a Yellow Bellied Sapsucker was a real bird! COOL!

Love the woodpecker pictures and gosh your video and pictures transported me to the woods, LOL, I miss trees living here in the desert, not near enough trees!

"Who cooks for you, who cooks for you all?" is a Barred Owl. And your woodpecker is a very handsome male Yellow-bellied Sapsucker. You can tell he's a sapsucker becasue of the red patch on his throat and the white crescent on the side of his wings.

I love your photos - especially those taken on the beach. You live in a lovely area! It makes me want to visit SC.
