I ran this course with Miley, or should I say I tried to run this course. I did a post turn from 1 to 2 but she couldn't make the tunnel entry. I move jump 2 to an angle facing the tunnel but it didn't help. I tried 3 times and she ran around the outside of the tunnel every time. I'm not sure why. Anyone with suggestions. Is it to far apart or to close together. Maybe she is not collecting?

Hi, I'm currently moving from a teeny velcro dog to a bigger faster dog and I see puzzles like this all the time. I don't know your dog Miley, so take this with a grain of salt. :) The dog is on their right lead from 1-2 ,and might not be able to switch leads to comfortably go into the tunnel. Just for fun, Start out on left hand, then FC between 1 and 2 and post turn 270 degrees to the left into the tunnel. The dog will then be on its left lead and I'll bet you could then get her into the tunnel. Or a RFP between 2 and 3, essentially the same move (albeit greatly increasing the real estate used).
I was going to suggest that you do a Front Cross between 2-3....
You could also work more on just obstacle focus and drive....do lots of tunnel drills and games.
We do lots of "finding the tunnel mouth" games so that no matter where you are sending the dog from they will find the mouth...Things like that might help just over all..
The front cross worked. I think she just had to much speed doing a post turn to make it into the tunnel. thanks, Diana
