Summer is over!
Well, just my summer vacation is over. I start work today. Booooo, hissssss! LOL, just kidding. So yesterday I spent at least 2 1/2 hours at the park. It was great. It wasnt as hot because there was no mist coming off the river. It makes taking pictures better.
Watch the ears as the wind come in over the next three pictures.

Another Lake Day
We went out on the lake this morning. I didnt get very good pictures. Or maybe Im just getting more picky. I had my camera on the wrong setting multiple times. I wonder how many more times Im going to make that mistakes. Im sure at least a few more times.
Guiness had a great time chasing waves. He only did it for a few minutes and then it just took all the energy out of him. Poor Guiness. I did get some good pictures of him which doesnt usually happen.
I know this one isnt in great focus but I still like it.
I walked thur the island and someone had built this. It even had a Zip line.
Then I saw this. I guess these people had a bad day. Its a pontoon boat. Even the motor is still on it. I think I would have pulled the motor off before leaving my boat.
No much else is going on. Its hot as all heck here, but thats nothing new. We pretty much dont go outside during the day. We do things in the morning or evening. Miley is bored. Ive started doing some simple training. Like walking around jumps and clicking and treating for her staying at my side and not circling. Or if I stop, to come to my side and not go into circling mode.
I got my hair cut this week. The lady who cuts my hair has been out all summer because she broke her ankle. She is back now. Its the worst hair cut ever. I cant get it to do anything. Ugh! I keep telling myself it will grow but its not growing fast enough.

Are you sick of me yet?
Well here are some more pictures. Are you sick of them yet???? LOL
I really like this picture. My husband told me it would be better if Miley was facing me. But the sun was behind me and then she closes her eyes. The next picture is an example.

Some questions and comments that people have made, I will comment on. Dawn asked about alarms on the river to let you know the dam is opening and the water will rise. Yes, there are very loud alarms up and down the river that sound. They are very loud.
Ricky, yea if photography wasnt digital I dont think I could afford it. Ive taken so may pictures, there is now way I could pay to have all the pictures printed. And then all the bad ones.LOL
Several people have commented on retraining the table using a different word. I tried that already. I used a mat and retrained her to lie down on the mat. I used the word "mat". I took it every where. Then added it to agility in different places. Then put it on the table still using the word "mat". Then cut the mat down smaller and smaller. It didtn hold up once we went to a trial. I got the same response.
I start work next week so the picture taking will really cut down.
I was trying to get a picture of these birds. They were just to fast. I was just interested in knowing what type of bird they are.

Whats up???
Well Ive been taking tons of pictures. Ive taken over 2000 pictures since I got my new camera. LOL
On Sunday we went out on the boat. Of course the Osprey were out and I had to take some pictures.
Then when we looked for our anchor it was gone. Ugh! Someone had been on our boat and gone thur our stuff. I guess they needed an anchor so they took it. The boat is at the marina and there is a locked gate. But you can still get to the boats if you have a boat. Just drive right up. So in the pass few years they have stolen our fire extinguisher, poles that hold the boat cover up and the wake board. We need to figure out how to lock some stuff up. We think we can add a lock to where the battery is stored. People drive me crazy.
This stump in the water was very cool. But the lighting wasnt right. This was the best shot I got.

Someone built this. I guess the slept on the island.
Guiness rolled around in the sand and I got some cute shots of that. I'll post those pictures tomorrow on wordless Wednesday.
Yesterday Stephanie and I drove up to Chimney Rock NC. Its about 2 1/2 hours up to that park. It a very nice area. There is a lake there with a huge beach and its surrounded by mountains. Its beautiful. I was to tried to stop and try to get a picture. There is a cute little town too.
This picture was taken from the park which is above the lake and town area.
We walked up to the waterfalls. There were lots of people and the dogs did great.
The dogs didnt like being near the waterfall even though there wasnt much water falling.
This was a very small area with the falls and a little pond. Then all the rocks and trying to climb, keep the dogs safe and not damage my camera. It was kinda stressful. Lots of people, who were very nice about me setting up my dogs for pictures. And the dogs were good about staying right where I put them. But I just didnt have the time to really look at the shots as I took them and fix things. Plus I couldnt use the whole small area just for myself. So I didnt really get the shots I wanted.
Guiness didnt like being on the rocks or near the water.
